Josey Contreras

When she was just four years old, she participated in the Miss Chiquitita contest for Sabado Gigante with Don Fransico. Soon afterwards, she joined a modeling agency in Dallas, TX, which gave her the opportunity to meet Jay Perez three years later at a commercial. After the commercial, whenever Jay Perez would perform at Artist Square, he would invite Josey to go up and sing with him, which continues to this day when he sees her.

At the age of thirteen, she became the lead singer of Nuevo Eztilo, a local band from Dallas. They stayed together for about a year or so, but later went their separate ways to pursue their own dreams and ambitions. About two years passed and Josey later joined NYA, Network for Young Artists, in San Antonio. This opened many doors for the fifteen year old teen. In less than a year, she was able to record "Cuatro Caminos" for NYA's CD with Tejas Records. With NYA, Josey was also able to participate in many events between San Antonio and the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. She has attended TTMA’s Fan Fair for the about the past five years.

After taking a break for a year, Josey has dedicated herself to recording her first album, which is entitled "Aqui Estoy Yo".
